Bamboo reed pipes, 'Twelve Tones'
Twelve graduated bamboo tubes flow in a circular panpipe, adhered with channalong, a black glue derived from bee hives. Yodchai Saelor crafts a beautiful hwod. The hwod is a variation of the popular khaen, a free reed mouth organ of Laos and northeastern Thailand. The hwod is held in both hands. By rolling the hands, different pipes are brought to the mouth.
